Versus Hair Team Oxford is so glad to be back!

We are delighted to inform you that after all the months of being closed we will are now back open. Whilst we are excited to be back at work and doing what we love to do; we have had to make some neccessary adjustments to our way of working, in order to ensure a safe environment for our staff and you as customers, and in accordance with Covid-19 government guidance.

Our clients' and staff health and safety is our top priority, and so we have made a number of modifications and changes to our processes to ensure that we can maintain the safest environment possible. 

We have made changes to our protocol and hygeine standards and as a result you will notice a different salon experience than what you are used to from previous visits.

**Important Update regarding wearing of Face Masks as of 8th August 2020 - please see the PPE section below**

What has changed?

  • Less clients and staff in the salon - to keep a safe space between us all we have removed half of the stations as well as removing the waiting area.
  • PPE must be worn in the salon - please see below for more details on this
  • No waiting - as there is no waiting area please do not bring friends or family to the salon - please attend alone. 
  • Please keep your belongings with you at all times. We will not be offering a coat storage facility so please bring a bag that you can store you coat in.
  • Refreshments and Magazines will not be available. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments and magazines, but do not leave them in the salon - please take all rubbish home with you.
  • You will not be able to touch products in our retail area, and all testers will be removed. Whilst this area will be regularly cleaned we will not allow items to be touched to minimise risk. If you are interested in purchasing a product please ask a member of staff for help.

PPE & Single Use Disposables

  • Your stylist will be wearing PPE. This might seem strange, but it is to protect both clients and our staff. PPE will be changed regularly according to the Government and World Health Organisation's guidelines. All of our stylists are wearing visors for both their protection and yours.
  • Clients are required to wear a mask which loops behind the ears so that we can still work effectively. Please bring your own mask or alternatively we will have masks available to purchase at ¬£1 each. If necessary, the face mask may be removed while treatment is carried out around the ears, but should be worn at all other times.
  • All client treatments will be conducted using single use disposables where possible, including gowns . Caps, gloves and aprons will all be single use. Towels will be washed at a suitable temperature after every use.

Salon Cleanliness & Hygiene Standards

  • All equipment used in your appointment - for example combs and scissors will have been disinfected before your appointment.
  • All areas of the salon will have been cleaned before you arrive for your appointment - we are allowing additional time between appointments to ensure that each area of the salon is cleaned before the next client arrives.

Salon Operating Procedures

  • We cannot do walk-in appointments so please call us to make an appointment.
  • We are limited in the services we are able to offer. Please discuss with us what service you are looking for when booking your appointment.
  • Opening hours - you will see that we are working longer hours and 7 days a week. We have extended our opening times as we will have less clients in the salon at one time and we will have to spend time between clients to sanitise the stations.
  • Unfortunately, all of these additional safety measures have a cost in terms of time, PPE and cleaning materials. Sadly we will need to increase our prices temporarily. We do hope that you understand the reasons for this, it is over 2 years since our last increase.
  • We will be accepting card and cash payments, all notes and coins will be sterilised.
  • Cancellation charges - Please cancel in plenty of time if you are unable to attend your appointment. With our restricted way of working we will not be able to fill cancelled appointments at short notice. We will have to charge the full amount for a missed appointment if cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. 

Your health

  • It is imperative that you let us know if you have been ill with the virus or have been in contact with anyone who has been sick. This is to enable us to minimise any risk of contamination for our clients and staff.
  • DO NOT ATTEND THE SALON IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, ARE DISPLAYING ANY SYMPTOMS, OR HAVE A TEMPERATURE. 
  • If you have arrived into the UK within 14 days you are required to self isolate and should not book or attend an appointment.

Note from Ian & the Team

We have always been able to keep our prices low for the standard of service due to never having to advertise and always being busy so it is with a heavy heart that we have to increase our prices, but sadly we need to do this to ensure that we can continue to serve our customers and keep the salon viable. These changes have not been taken lightly and have been made with the health and safety of our clients and staff as the top priority. We are following and responding to all Government guidelines to ensure all standards are met.
